tasha
Tasha is a Scottish SPCA rescue dog and is judged to be around 2yrs. old (as of 23/09/07).
She was rescued from the streets as a stray by the Scottish SPCA  and remained in their
kennels for two months. During this time she had never been in the viewing area as nobody
wanted see her.
My wife and I had decided to get another dog and had seen Tasha on the SSPCA`s web site
and decided to make contact.
After passing the home visit we were alloyed to meet Tasha in the viewing area which went
well. The next meeting involved Bella our Staffy x American Bull Dog which went ok apart
from one little stand off.
The next day (23/09/2007) we took Tasha home and she has now settled down to life in her
new home and Bella is now her new best friend.
On arrival at the SSPCA kennels Tasha weighed
23kg.
Four weeks later on 23/09/2007 when we took
her home she weighed 29kg.
Four weeks later on 21/10/07 she weighed 33kg.

Six months later....Tasha has now stopped barking at the neighbours although she still barks at
strangers if they come into her patch (the garden) and we have managed to stop her chasing cars.
In the house she is very responsive to hand and voice commands....sit, stay, down and recall.
Out side on her walks she has not been let off the lead but we have recently been using a 30m.
line which gives her much more freedom and as a result she has become much more responsive
on the recall command, but still a lot of training to do in the outdoors. While out and about
we've discovered that Tasha loves water...you would think she had never seen it before.
